Episode Title: Prix de Lausanne 2022 - Finals – ARTE Concert Episode Content: 🇬🇧 The Prix de Lausanne was created in 1973 to identify, promote and support the most promising young dance talent, aged 15 to 18. 75 dancers from all over the world will take part in the competition this year. A lucky few will receive a scholarship to attend one of the competition's associated schools or companies. ARTE Concert is bringing you the whole of this exceptional event, from the first days of coaching to the final. Just a handful of candidates are still in the competition. A lot is at stake: Winners of the Prix de Lausanne will be able to join the most prestigious companies and schools in the world. To get their hands on the prize, the remaining competitors present the classical and contemporary variations they have perfected over the week to the jury for the final time. The last day of the Prix de Lausanne is also an opportunity to celebrate the art of dance in general: A Life Achievement Award is presented this year to the dancer-choreographer Pierre Lacotte, a creation will be performed by ten students of the Princess Grace Academy as well as five choreographies put forward for the Young Creation Award 2022, a new competition for young talented choreographers.
