Avec un Neil Hannon au top de sa forme pour nous faire découvrirRainy Sunday Afternoon, son treizième album. C’est en 1989 que le chanteur nord-irlandais Neil Hannon fonde The Divine Comedy. Cette décision fait très vite de lui l’une des figures de proue de la nouvelle scène musicale britannique des années 90, ainsi qu’une référence dans le registre de la pop orchestrale. Dotée d’une géométrie variable - Hannon en étant le seul membre permanent – The Divine Comedy distille une musique résolument moderne, tout en gardant un œil dans le rétroviseur afin d’y insuffler ce petit coup de rein pop hérité des sixties. Ce style signature a donné naissance à treize albums entre 1990 et 2025. C’est justement pour célébrer la naissance de leur dernier né – Rainy Sunday Afternoon – que Hannon et ses acolytes se sont lancés dans une grande tournée à travers l’Europe. C’est dans le magnifique cadre du Cirque Royal de Bruxelles que nos caméras ont immortalisé l’interprétation live de ce treizième album, ainsi que d’autres morceaux cultes de la formation. Tout est dit, vous allez devenir accro. Né à Clamart dans le 92, HLD a commencé à percer grâce à la série de freestyles #SEKLENLAND, qui comptabilise maintenant plusieurs millions de vues sur YouTube. De quoi s’attirer la sympathie de nombreux rappeurs(Ziak, mais aussi SDM, PLKet 1PLIKÉ 140), du label Argentic Music (chez qui on peut aussi entendre Disiz, Norsacce, Timal…) et du média spécialisé Booska-P (qui l’a intégré dans sa liste des onze artistes à suivre en 2023). La première venue de HLD dans ARTE Dans le Club remonte à 2023. A l’époque, il venait libérer des morceaux issus de ses deux premiers albums:Beretta(2022) etDrogue(2023). Trois ans plus tard, le prince de Clamart revient dans le ring de la Gaîté Lyrique pour y défendre Drogue 2, un projet publié fin 2025. Quelle évolution et quels nouveaux sons pour le petit génie de la drillaprès ces quelques années d’absence ? On découvre ça tout de suite.
