Episode Title: Prix de Lausanne - Day 6 - The Finals 🏆 🥇 – ARTE Concert Episode Content: The final of the 49th Prix de Lausanne has arrived! After five days of hard work and emotion, the jury of experts will come together to decide who will win the prizes for 2021. With only around twenty candidates still in contention, only a handful will receive the much-coveted prizes and gain places at the world’s best dance schools. Today is also a day to celebrate the art form with a special show from the ballet school of the Opéra National de Paris and with the awarding of the Lifetime Achievement Award to Wayne McGregor as well as the Young Creation Award. Programme 14:00 – Introduction 14:10 – Classical Variations 15:00 – Contemporary Variations 15:40 – Young Creation Award and Lifetime Achievement Award 16:40 – Awards Ceremony ---------------------------------------- Ils ne sont plus qu’une vingtaine de candidats à encore être en lice ! Parmi eux, une poignée seulement recevra le titre de lauréat et pourra ainsi rejoindre les écoles de danse les plus prestigieuses du monde. Cette finale est également l’occasion de fêter la danse en général. D’abord grâce à un spectacle de l’Ecole du Ballet de l'Opéra National de Paris, puis par deux remises de prix : un Lifetime Achievement Award remis à Wayne McGregor (dont le travail est familier des habitués du Prix de Lausanne) et un Young Creation Award (compétition destinée aux jeunes chorégraphes inaugurée cette année). Programme : 14h00 – Introduction 14h10 – Variations classiques 15h00 – Variations contemporaines 15h40 – Interlude, Young Creation Award et Lifetime Achievement Award 16h40 – Remise des prix ------------------------------------------ Zwanzig Bewerberinnen und Bewerber stehen noch im Wettbewerb und nur eine Handvoll wird gewinnen. Ihnen werden die renommiertesten Tanzschulen der Welt offenstehen. Das Finale ist auch ein schöner Anlass, um den Tanz ganz allgemein zu feiern. Den Auftakt gibt eine Aufführung der Ballettschule der Opéra National de Paris, es folgen zwei Preisverleihungen: ein Lifetime Achievement Award an Wayne McGregor (dessen Arbeit die Freunde des Prix de Lausanne gut kennen) und ein Young Creation Award (der in diesem Jahr erstmals an junge Choreografinnen und Choreografen verliehen wird).
