Episode Title: Drangsal - Berlin Live - ARTE Episode Content: Max Gruber ist Drangsal und tauchte 2016 scheinbar aus dem Nichts in der deutschen Musiklandschaft auf. Selten hat ein Debüt so viel Euphorie und Diskussionen ausgelöst wie „Harieschaim“. Seine Musik ist eine ganz neue nie gekannte Mischung aus New Wave, Post-Punk und Indie-Pop, überwölbt von den Erfahrungen in der konservativen Pfälzer Provinz. Für die musikalische Umsetzung hat er im Produzenten Markus Ganter (u.a. Sizarr, Casper, Tocotronic) den kongenialen Partner gefunden, der ihn in seiner Kunst blind versteht und die Drangsal-Songs in das passende Gewand hüllt. In der Live-Situation findet dann eine Transformation statt, die wenig mit kühler 80s-Ästhetik zu tun hat, sondern Drangsals Brachial-Pop in all seiner Intensität entfesselt. ----- Max Gruber alias Drangsal a débarqué en 2016 dans le paysage musical allemand. Rarement un premier album aura suscité une telle euphorie et autant de débats que Harieschaim. Max Gruber est un autodidacte, un marginal, un perfectionniste.
