Episode Title: Bastille - Turner Contemporary Museum, Margate - Sounds Like Art - ARTE Concert Episode Content: "Sounds Like Art" invite des musiciens et musiciennes à jouer au beau milieu d'œuvres d'art d'un musée d'Europe. Dans ce numéro, le groupe de pop britannique Bastille présente son nouvel album "&" au Turner Contemporary Museum de Margate, sur la côte anglaise. Son chanteur, Dan Smith, s'intéresse particulièrement à l'art d'Anya Gallaccio et d'Antony Gormley. "Sounds Like Art" unit l’art et la musique et présente le groupe de pop britannique Bastille sur les côtes anglaises, plus précisément dans la petite ville de Margate. Là, le chanteur et compositeur Dan Smith découvre les œuvres d'Anya Gallacio et du sculpteur Antony Gormley au musée d’art moderne Turner Contemporary. Bastille y interprète son dernier album "&" (Ampersand). Les paroles de "&" (Ampersand) sont inspirées de personnalités telles qu'Edvard Munch, Marie Curie et Leonard Cohen. Dan Smith évoque leurs histoires, leurs défis, leur destin, et choisit cette fois de signer ses compositions d’une ligne plus mélodique que le son explosif qui caractérise habituellement Bastille. Leurs titres phares comme "Pompeii" et "Good Grief" sonnent également dans de nouveaux arrangements acoustiques. Pour cet épisode, Dan Smith s'est inspiré de l'exposition d'Anya Gallaccio. Son art documente la décomposition d’éléments naturels, comme les pommes ou les fleurs, et aborde la thématique de l'éphémère. Une salle consacrée à cette exposition présente une imprimante 3D surdimensionnée qui transforme la craie en formes abstraites. Une référence au littoral de Margate constitué de ce même matériau, la craie. Destinées de personnalités hors normes, œuvres d'art et déclin de l’environnement sont ainsi associés dans le décor impressionnant du musée Turner Contemporary, face à la mer.
