Le savant vieillissant interprété par le ténor Jonathan Tetelman conclut alors un pacte avec le démon Méphistophélès, incarné par le baryton-basse Kyle Ketelsen. En lui vendant son âme, il retrouve en échange sa jeunesse. Faust tombe alors amoureux de Marguerite, rôle tenu par la soprano lyriqueOlga Kulchynska. Pour avoir tué l’enfant qu’ils ont eu ensemble, Marguerite sombre dans la folie. Son ultime confrontation avec Faust lui permettra toutefois d’accéder à la rédemption. L’opéra de Gounod a-t-il encore grand-chose à voir avec le Faust de Goethe? Le livret repose sur une adaptation par Jules Barbier du drame fantastique Faust et Marguerite de Michel Carré créé au Théâtre du Gymnase. Les deux auteurs ont ensuite œuvré en tandem et repris certains passages de la traduction du Faust de Goethe par Gérard de Nerval. Dès le départ, ils visent de resserrer le propos. La tragédie philosophique universelle leur a servi de squelette, au service d’une intrigue centrée autour d’une histoire d’amour qui voit le diable s’en mêler. Avec cet ouvrage lyrique sur l’amour, la mort et les forces sataniques, Gounod signe une œuvre à la croisée de l’opéra-comique et du grand opéra. Mélodiste déployant une imparable force de séduction, il se montre habile orchestrateur et fait preuve d’un sens consommé des effets scéniques qui, s’ils font toujours mouche, n’en restent pas moins subtils. La mise en scène de cette nouvelle production à l’Opéra d’État de Bavière est signée Lotte de Beer. La direction musicale est assurée par Nathalie Stutzmann. Flamenco, folk et world music sont les ingrédients inattendus de sa pop unique. Ses chansons nous parlent de perte, d’espoir et du courage de prendre un nouveau départ. Depuis son enfance, la musique est un moyen de nouer une relation avec le monde. Rien de tel que le Reeperbahn Festival Collide pour renforcer ce lien. Gizmo Varillas brouille les pistes et abolit les frontières, qu’elles soient géographiques, musicales ou affectives. Né à Santander sur la côte nord de l’Espagne, le guitariste grandit à Cardiff où, très tôt, il s’imprègne de flamenco et de ska punk, avant de s’ouvrir aux autres sonorités. Refuge salvateur durant sa jeunesse, la musique a désormais pour lui une seule et unique vocation : guérir, relier et rassembler. Après des débuts à Londres au sein de la scène indé, Gizmo Varillas choisit de faire cavalier seul : il compose, produit et enregistre en solo ses premier et deuxième albums, El Dorado en 2017 et Dreaming of Better Days en 2018. Il finit par percer en 2020 grâce à son troisième opus Out of the Darkness qui cartonne sur les plateformes de streaming et à la radio. À cette occasion, il s’adjoint le temps d’un morceau les baguettes du légendaire percussionniste nigérian Tony Allen, dont le groove et l’esprit infusent depuis lors dans sa musique. En 2024 sort The World in Colour, l’album de la maturité. Composée entre Brighton et Santander au cours des derniers mois de la vie de son père, l’œuvre transcende une tragédie personnelle pour en faire une émotion universelle. Entre perte et nouveau départ, Gizmo Varillas crée un son lumineux teinté de douceur rythmique, de chaleur acoustique et de clarté poétique. Au Reeperbahn Festival Collide, Gizmo Varillas présente le fruit de ce télescopage fécond, entre compositions intimistes et universalité musicale, au son des guitares espagnoles fusionnant avec les grooves tropicaux et les percu africaines. Bercé par un sens inimitable de la mélodie, le public danse, porté par la légèreté et l’empathie. Gizmo Varillas est à l’image du Reeperbahn Festival Collide, né sous le signe de la rencontre. Sa musique est tout à la fois un tour du monde, un processus de guérison et une invitation à danser, à ressentir et à respirer. Plus qu’un titre d’album, « The World in Colour » est un véritable mantra. Pour les sélections, chaque candidat doit présenter devant un panel d’experts une variation classique et une variation contemporaine, sélectionnées au sein d’une liste mise à disposition par le Prix de Lausanne en fonction de leur âge et de leur genre. De quoi démontrer toute l’étendue de leur talent et de leur adaptabilité. Entre les performances des candidats seniors et l’annonce des finalistes, profitez de la diffusion en différé du Young Creation Awards 2026. Sorte de compétition dans la compétition, le Young Creation Awards promeut la création chorégraphique contemporaine en permettant à cinq jeunes chorégraphes de présenter leur travail devant le jury du Prix de Lausanne. Deux d’entre auront l’honneur de voir leur création rejoindre le répertoire de la prochaine édition du concours. Réservé aux danseurs et danseuses âgés de 15 à 18 ans, il fait converger chaque année sur les rives du Lac Léman des candidats venus du monde entier. A la clef pour les lauréats : une bourse et la possibilité de rejoindre une prestigieuse école de danse. Ils sont 37 filles et 36 garçons à participer à l’édition 2026 du Prix de Lausanne. Suivez toute la semaine leur évolution : des cours et répétitions jusqu’aux sélections puis à la finale. Six jours intenses, où nos jeunes candidats jouent un pan de leur précoce carrière. Les quatre premiers jours du 54e Prix de Lausanne sont dédiés aux classes, cours et répétitions. L’occasion pour ces jeunes danseurs de se perfectionner auprès de grandes figures de la danse classique et contemporaine et de briller face à un jury d’experts – ces sessions de travail étant comptabilisées pour leur note finale. Programme : 13h45-15h15 - Cours de danse classique, Filles B 15h15-15h30 - Diffusion vidéos portraits des candidats 15h30-16h30 - Cours de danse contemporaine, Filles B 16h30-16h45 - Diffusion vidéos portraits des candidats 16h45-17h45 - Coaching des variations contemporaines, Garçons A Filmé le 3 février 2026 au Prix de Lausanne, Suisse. ---------------------------- 🇩🇪 Der Prix de Lausanne gehört zu den bedeutendsten Tanzwettbewerben weltweit. Er richtet sich an männliche und weibliche Ballerinen im Alter von 15 bis 18 Jahren und vereint jedes Jahr Talente aus aller Welt am Genfersee. Wer einen Preis gewinnt, erhält ein Stipendium und die Chance, die weitere Ausbildung an einer renommierten Ballettschule fortzusetzen. 2026 treten 37 Mädchen und 36 Jungen im Wettbewerb an. Eine Woche lang dürfen die Zuschauer ihre Entwicklung verfolgen – von Unterricht und Proben über die Auswahlrunden bis hin zum Finale. Sechs intensive Tage, die für die weitere Laufbahn der Nachwuchstalente entscheidend sind. Die ersten vier Tage der 54. Ausgabe des Prix de Lausanne sind dem Klassenunterricht, den Proben und Coaching-Sessions gewidmet. Für die Nachwuchstalente eine kostbare Gelegenheit, mit führenden Persönlichkeiten des klassischen und modernen Tanzes zu arbeiten und vor einer internationalen Fachjury zu überzeugen – denn auch die Trainingseinheiten fließen in die Endbewertung ein. De "Un homme et une femme" à "Les yeux noirs", une traversée du septième art à laquelle participent Lambert Wilson, Anne Sila et Gabriel Yared. Grand complice de Claude Lelouch, Francis Lai a profondément marqué le paysage culturel des années 1960, 1970 et 1980. Par ses bandes originales bien sûr ("Itinéraire d'un enfant gâté", "Les uns et les autres", "Love Story"…), mais aussi par ses collaborations avec d’immenses noms de la chanson francophone (Edith Piaf, Marie Laforêt, Mireille Mathieu…). C’est une partie de cet héritage qu’interprètent ici le chef Nicolas Guiraud et l’Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. En introduction à cette soirée spéciale, deux œuvres sont présentées : une création mondiale de Jérôme Rebotier (compositeur de la B.O. du Comte de Monte-Cristo et lauréat du troisième Prix des auditeurs France Musique – Sacem de la musique de film), et un hommage à Francis Lai signé par le pianiste Gabriel Yared.
